VAG HYsec PRO hydraulic brake and lift unit

The VAG HYsec hydraulic brake and lift unit meets all the requirements of safe and reliable operation. Combined with a VAG EKN® Butterfly Valve or a VAG RIKO® Plunger Valve, it serves as a quick-closing safety valve at turbine inlets and in pumping stations, as a pipe-burst safety device with hydro-mechanical activation or as a quick-opening valve in the turbine bypass.

  • Quick-closing valve with hydraulic brake and lift unit
  • Lever and weight with double bearing, angular joint bearing on one side and with bearing ring made of PTFE gliding sheet on the other side. This prevents the transmission of drop weight loads to the valve bearing.
  • Modular design of the drop weight allows adaptation to the operation conditions
  • Two-piece drop-weight lever
  • Hydraulic cylinder with mounted-on control unit: - directly screwed onto the cylinder without connection pipe or flexible tubes - Integrated stop cock to test the function - Release via solenoid valve (open circuit current/no signal current) - Closing times adjustable with volume controlling valve (independent of viscosity and pressure) - Integrated check valve - Connection hoses unpressurised during operation of the valve
  • Integrated hydraulic unit with completely closed oil circuit: - no air filter and dehumidifier allowed - Radial piston pump with redundant pump elements - Hand pump and filter element integrated in the pump housing
  • Adjustable internal damping unit and adjustable limit stop for the closed position
  • Three limit switches: for open and closed position as well as for keeping the valve open automatically
  • Compact design consisting of the valve plus mounted actuator
  • Bracket, lever: Epoxy primer and top coating
  • Drop weight: Epoxy coating
  • Console and lever: SJ235
  • Drop weight: Cast iron EN-JL- 1040 (GG-25)
  • Bearing pins, bolts and coupling: Stainless steel 1.4021
  • Lever bearing: Stainless steel 1.4305 or rather zinc-free bronze and PTFE
